Cooling Off

With the heat, Arthur and Walter have tried to find ways to cool off. As we already saw, Arthur enjoys playing with ice cubes. Arthur also found the coolest spot in the house:

Poor, poor Walter. He is much too big to fit in that little spot Arthur found. So instead he just sprawled out on the table.
Good enough.

It's been hot lately, Arthur decided to combine cooling off with play time.

Camping Trip

Earlier this week, my friend Jacky, and I, went camping at Peninsula State Park in Door County. We did all sorts of fun things.

Like rented a kayak and paddled ourselves out to this remote island.

 Ok, it wasn't that remote, only about a mile off shore, but it was still pretty cool to go out there and explore.

While back at the camp site, Jacky started an awesome fire in about a minute with one sheet of paper. While she is awesome, it probably also helped that it's been so dry.

 While Jacky started the fire, I got busy getting food ready.

 And drinks of course. We clearly did not bring enough ice, but made due with what we had.

 We also underestimated the amount of wood needed, so we scavenged for wood throughout our campsite

 After about 20 attempts, i realized it was impossible to take pictures of the stars with my camera. However, the trees still look pretty cool

The next day we went for a hike

We spent what felt like hours looking for this look out tower. Eventually we found it.

It had nice views 

It was a very short trip. Luckily we've decided to go back this fall when all the leaves are pretty!

Peek A Boo with a Vengeance

As Arthur was playing in his tube, I thought it would be cute to try and get a video of him playing. Unfortunately things did not go well. He was feeling a bit too playful, or maybe he was camera shy or just sick of the paparazzi, but this is what ensued:

The Water Fountain

Walter loves drinking from this this fountain.

Arthur was interested in what all the fuss was about up there. So he did a little exploration, although he definitely hasn't figured out drinking yet! (he's more entertaining than Walter)

Brotherly Love

Walter and Arthur still don't sleep together (which in my mind, is the most adorable thing, and also shows that they have become best friends) but I think we are very close to that point.

 They co-exist in harmony.

Sassy Kitties

I have a million excuses as to why there hasn't been an update in three weeks, however, I'll just share with you the most adorable one: the kitties are sassy!! Here are a few pictures I took while they were being naughty, but most of the time I am busy trying to keep Arthur out of the toilet, or dishwasher, or off the screen, etc. etc.
